The Kendra's curriculum lays a pointed stress on the basic and complete training aimed at preparing students for a professional career in dance. Keeping this in view curriculum has been designed. The training covers both the practical and theoretical aspects of Kathak Dance. The medium of instruction is mainly Hindi. The following methods of instruction are adopted for achieving the training objectives:

i. Regular formal training classes in dance by faculty members;

ii. Solo and group public performances at regular intervals;

iii. Short term visits of experts from outside the Kendra for production / training / seminars / workshop / theory lectures etc;

iv. Regular group practice sessions;

v. Regular group practice sessions;

vi. Study tour of the places related to Kathak;

vii. Book and Audio / Video Library.
