A festival of Classical dances of Akademi Awardees – “Nritya Mahotsav” was organized in collaboration with Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam from 21-23 March 2009 at Rabindra Bhavan, Guwahati. Akademi Awardees namely Smt. Deepti Omchery Bhalla, Smt. Sunayana Hazarilal, Smt. Kalavati Devi, Smt. Sucheta Bhide Chapekar, Smt. Indira P.P. Bora, Smt. Ranjana Gauhar and Smt. Swapnasundari performed in the festival.
