From the year 2006, Sangeet Natak Akademi has instituted Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskars for outstanding young artists in the fields of music, dance and drama below 35 years of age. The Yuva Puraskar ceremony was held on 23 March 2007. The Puraskars were given away by Shri Ram Niwas Mirdha, Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi, at a special ceremony on 23 March 2007 in the Akademi's Meghdoot Theatre Complex, New Delhi. The Yuva Puraskar ceremony was followed by a festival of music, dance and theatre from 23 to 29 March 2007 at the same venue. The names of the recipients for Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva
