On the occasion of 15th Death Anniversary of the Late Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi, Sangeet Natak Akademi designed a presentation as a tribute to the deceased leader at the request of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The presentation also included a live music recital by artists of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and concluded with a tri-colour homage by two young flag-runners. Dignitaries who paid homage to Rajiv Gandhi on the occasion included Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, and Smt. Sonia Gandhi, along with other members of Gandhi family.
