Under the scheme of Assistance to Young Theatre Artists training workshop for young theatre artists is being held on Zonal basis. East Zone Phase - II comprising the States of Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar has been started in Joka, Kolkata. The workshop will be conducted for 75 days from 7 November 2005 to 20 January 2006. Shri Satish Anand, eminent theatre Director has been designated as the Camp Director. Shri Shyamanand Jalan, former Vice-Chairman of the Akademi is the Advisor to the workshop. Padatik, Kolkata is coordinating the workshop.
