Under the scheme of 'Assistance to Young Theatre
Workers', the Akademi has initiated a programme in
which four to five workshops are organised each year.
They aim at providing integrated training in contemporary
theatre for theatre workers of the young generation.
Along with the requirements of basic training in theatre
emphasis is given to the State's traditional and folk
culture. Practical aspects of training include classes
in mime, movement, voice and speech, sets, lighting,
costume design, theatre music, etc.
