Awards Ceremony & Festival

The Award Ceremony for the year 1999-2000 was held on 12 May 2001 at the Convention Hall of Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Hon'ble Shri Krishan Kant, Vice President of India, gave away the awards for the year 1999 and 2000. The Award Ceremony was followed by a vocal Jugalbandi by Ajoy Chakrabarty and T.N. Seshagopalan. V. Kamlakar Rao accompanied on the Mridangam. The Award Ceremony was followed by a festival of music, dance and theatre from 13 - 21 May 2001 at FICCI Auditorium, Shriram Centre, and Abhimanch, Delhi, Details of the festival programme follows:
